The Toronto Raptors have decided to extend Colin Castleton’s time with the team by signing him to a second 10-day contract. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-11 and weighing 250 pounds, Castleton made a noticeable impact in the five games he played during his initial stint from March 6 to March 15. During this period, he managed to maintain averages of 7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while also contributing 1 block per game over 27.8 minutes of play. Notably, Castleton had a standout performance on March 14 in Utah, where he scored a personal best of 13 points. Just a couple of days before, on March 12, he had his first career start against Philadelphia, grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds, alongside adding seven points and three blocks over a solid 40-minute game.
This season, through his time with both Toronto and Memphis, Castleton has averaged 3.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, playing around 12.4 minutes per game. Initially, he joined the Memphis Grizzlies on a two-way contract before the 2024-25 season began but was released by them on January 10.
Hailing from DeLand, Florida, Castleton has career averages of 2.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 7.9 minutes across 31 games with the LA Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Toronto Raptors. Before his NBA career, he spent two seasons at Michigan before transferring to the University of Florida from 2020 to 2023. There, he earned All-SEC First Team honors and made the Defensive Team during his final year.
