Okay, so, uh, I was scrolling around looking for something entertaining and stumbled upon this thing SuperStroke is doing. Apparently, they’re celebrating National Donut Day with some funky new putter grips and ball markers. Yep, you read that right. Donuts and golf. Not sure how those two mesh, but hey, I’m intrigued. They’re calling it the “Glazed and Confused” collection. Clever, huh?
Now, it’s kinda funny ‘cause these go on sale June 6. Which, if I’m not mistaken, might be a Friday — don’t quote me on that though. But here’s the kicker: they’re probably gonna sell out super fast. I mean, past collections like Halloween themes and other random shenanigans flew off the shelves. Blimey, I still brood over missing out on that Headless Horseman grip. Honestly, I think an Edgar Allen Poe Raven grip for Halloween would be sick. Anyone else?
Oh, and get this. SuperStroke is from Michigan. Love that. Shoutout to Michigan companies, and you better believe that’s why I couldn’t resist writing this up.
Anyway, these grips are part of this Zenergy line they have. Not that I fully grasp what that entails. Something about SPYNE™ technology, multi-zone textures, and shapes that have no taper? Fancy stuff. They basically have these enhanced features that, I guess, make your swing better or maybe just make you look cooler. Who knows? I just hope they feel nice when you’re playing, honestly.
So, they’ve packed in this SPYNE™ Technology, which apparently has a special ridge for squaring the face. Multi-Zone Texturing for, uh, feedback and comfort? Think soft, maybe like a really worn-in glove? No Taper Technology — less grip pressure, whatever that means. Tech-Port at the top for weights and sensors. Who came up with these names?
Oh, and as if I have any clue what these sizes mean, the Pistol 1.0 and Tour 2.0 have specs in inches and grams. Numbers, am I right? It’s all very technical and detailed, more than my brain sometimes computes — 1.14” wide, 10.60” long. And don’t even get me started on the weights and cores.
Anyway, that’s the gist. Just a little snippet of everything happening in the wild world of golf accessories on National Donut Day. Cheers!
