New Zealand’s Lineup Against India

New Zealand is eagerly aiming for their second Champions Trophy victory as they gear up to face India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The match is set to take place on Sunday, March 9, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

It’s been a long stretch since New Zealand last held the Champions Trophy, having last claimed it in 2000. This team is more than ready to break the dry spell in ICC limited-overs tournaments by clinching the coveted title in this upcoming clash.

Adding to their motivation, they have a score to settle. The Black Caps faced a defeat against India earlier in the tournament, losing by 44 runs to a team led by Rohit Sharma. New Zealand is keenly focused on reversing their fortunes in this high-stakes rematch.

With the final approaching, let’s delve into who’s on the field for New Zealand.

### New Zealand Playing 11 vs India – Final, ICC Champions Trophy 2025:

#### Openers: Will Young, Rachin Ravindra

At the top of the order, New Zealand will have Will Young and Rachin Ravindra. This duo will be crucial in getting the team off to a positive start. Young had a modest outing against South Africa, scoring 21 runs, and he’ll be looking to make a more significant impact this time around. Meanwhile, Ravindra shone brightly in the previous match, earning the Player of the Match honors with his second century of the tournament, setting a strong foundation for the team.

#### Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (wk), Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c)

Kane Williamson will be key in the middle order after delivering a masterclass century against South Africa. Scoring 102 from 94 balls, he looks set to continue his brilliant form. Alongside him, Daryl Mitchell, who added a steady 49 runs to the tally, will also be seeking a standout performance. Tom Latham didn’t have his best day in the previous game with just 4 runs, but he’s determined to bounce back against India.

Glenn Phillips comes into the final with confidence, having displayed an excellent all-round performance. His rapid, unbeaten 49 off just 27 balls helped New Zealand to an imposing total and his 2-wicket haul added to his contributions. Both Michael Bracewell and skipper Mitchell Santner will be vital to the team’s balance. Santner was particularly impressive with 3 wickets in the semifinal, showing why he’s a leader on the field.

#### Bowlers: Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, William O’Rourke

The pace attack will feature the trio of Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, and William O’Rourke. Henry bagged a couple of wickets against the Proteas and will spearhead the attack again. Jamieson and O’Rourke, despite being wicketless last time, bring depth and are eager to make a mark in the final showdown against India.

With such a well-rounded lineup, New Zealand is poised to give it their all as they chase long-awaited glory in the ICC Champions Trophy.
