The 2025 NFL Draft? Yep, it’s done. But, like, seriously, why not start dreaming about 2026 already? It’s like clockwork for sports nuts, huh?
So, Vegas has thrown out some odds on who might snag that No. 1 spot in 2026. Texas QB Arch Manning’s sitting pretty at +200 odds. Wild, right? Just nudging ahead of Penn State’s Drew Allar who’s at +225.
Oh, and then there’s LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, hanging in there with +450. Meanwhile, Clemson’s Cade Klubnik trails at a more distant 18-1. Then there’s this trio—Auburn’s Keldric Faulk, Clemson’s T.J. Parker, and Ohio State’s Caleb Downs—lined up at 25-1.
And yeah, here’s this random pic of Arch Manning from some game back in Jan 2025. Just your typical he’ll-be-great snap.
Anyway, Manning’s major family ties (hello, Cooper, Peyton, Eli) have folks buzzing. He didn’t play much last season but 939 yards and 9 TDs aren’t too shabby, right? He’s also the 6-1 Heisman frontrunner. BetMGM’s keeping eyes on him, with Nussmeier a bit further back at +850.
Drew Allar? Man, his year was a bit of a rollercoaster. Tossed 24 TDs but had 8 INTs. Even so, led Penn to an 11-1 season. Oh, and guess what? They snagged a spot in the College Football Playoff, though Notre Dame kinda rained on their parade, beating them 27-24 in the semis.
Flashback to last year—remember Colorado’s Sheduer Sanders? He was the fave for the No. 1 draft spot at +300. Things shook out differently. Got picked fifth. Cam Ward went No. 1, followed by Travis Hunter. Surprising? Maybe. But that’s drafts for ya.
Quarterbacks? Totally ruling the draft scene—7 out of the last 8 top picks were QBs. Except in 2022 when Jacksonville had a curveball moment with DE Travon Walker.
Anyway, the draft’s a wild ride and, frankly, no one really knows what’s next. Guess we’ll see!
