Tim Tebow Offers Prayers for College Students Following Campus Shooting

Tim Tebow’s got a heavy heart tonight, just like half the folks in America, I imagine. The kind of news that feels like a punch in the gut. This tragedy went down in Tallahassee, and it’s left everyone feeling a bit rattled. Phoenix Ikner, who’s just 20 — practically a kid when you think about it — is the one they’re saying did this terrible thing at FSU. Two lives taken, and six others hurt, sent to get patched up at Tallahassee Memorial. Even though they’ve got it under control now or something close to it, the whole place is still buzzing with that eerie crime scene vibe.

And get this, they say he took his mom’s gun. She’s a sheriff’s deputy, so yeah, it was her service piece. Students there? They’re climbing walls with fear after all this madness. One of them talked about it, said he heard shots and then just — I don’t know, like his brain turned off. Panic everywhere. People crying, just trying to hide anywhere they could. Imagine that — barricading in a corner of a basement with others, just hoping. Must’ve been terrifying.

People are out again with gun control chants, and, well, here comes President Donald Trump not budging an inch. Talking about his duty to the Second Amendment, saying it’s part of what he ran on — his thing, you know? I guess he’s not planning to pivot anytime soon.

This will stick with folks for a while, no question there. Gut-wrenching stuff. And our hearts are definitely with them, hoping they can find some kind of peace.
