Okay, so you know how you wake up and just one of those random thoughts hits you? Like, why is the sky blue or why do socks always disappear in the wash? Well, I had one of those moments thinking about this kid — coincidentally named Brady Quinn, right? Yeah, it’s a name that rings a bell if you’re into college football, but this kid isn’t related to the Notre Dame legend. No family ties, but his dad’s a superfan. Go figure.
Brady, the up-and-coming quarterback from Florida — you know, sunshine, oranges, and intense football — decided it was time to check out Notre Dame. I mean, who wouldn’t, with those iconic echoes, shadows of legends, and the whole shebang. It’s like stepping into a football time capsule. Seriously though, I once heard the stadium smells like a mix of fresh-cut grass and hot dogs. Weird, but kinda cool, right?
Anyway, so this visit happens Monday. And it’s not Brady’s first rodeo at Notre Dame. He’d been there last month, too. He’s got eyes all over him with interest from Miami to Nebraska. But something tells me, just a hunch — maybe an overly enthusiastic dad, maybe kid’s destiny, who knows — that Notre Dame’s pulling him in like a moth to a flame. Betting there’s some sort of cosmic alignment at work there.
On3.com, they dug into his whole deal. Apparently, he’s on their top-100 radar which sounds pretty fancy for a kid who’s barely midway through high school. Makes you wonder if they have a special crystal ball for this stuff. Future’s looking bright, no question.
Oh, he tweeted about heading back to Notre Dame. Classic humble-brag, but hey, if I was him, I’d be doing the same. Not every day you get to mess around with dreams and possibilities.
Can’t forget his numbers — like, what do they even feed these kids? Tossed 33 touchdowns as a freshman. Who does that? Magic beans, maybe. I mean, whatever they’re doing, it’s working. Kid’s on a trajectory that might just make his dad’s dreams come true.
Somehow, talking about this, it’s like looking at a snowball gathering speed down a hill. You just know it’s gonna hit something big. Guess we’ll just have to hang tight and see where it rolls.
