Okay, so picture this: Mario Hezonja. Yep, that guy. Might be gearing up for an NBA comeback. Crazy, right? Word on the street is, he’s got an NBA out or loophole or whatever with Real Madrid. Apparently, some NBA teams are sniffing around. Wild times.
So, let’s rewind a bit. Mario got scooped up by the Orlando Magic way back in 2015. He hung around the NBA for five years or so. Three years with the Magic, then he bounced over to the Knicks and the Trail Blazers. Honestly, my memory gets a little fuzzy here, but that’s the gist of it.
Anyway, after saying “see ya” to the NBA, he went on this globetrotting basketball adventure. Played in Greece with Panathinaikos, then Russia with UNICS Kazan, and now he’s been chillin’ in Spain with Real Madrid these past few years. At 30, he’s still kicking it, putting up something like 14.3 points and 5.2 boards a game over 71 encounters. Not too shabby, I guess.
Oh, and EuroBasket qualifiers! Man, was he on fire! For Croatia, he was dropping 30.3 points, grabbing 9.2 rebounds, and dishing 3.8 assists per game. And get this—despite his whirlwind, Croatia didn’t make it for the first time ever. Ouch. I mean, life’s a mystery sometimes, huh?
