Alright, here we go — let’s talk about the 2025 NBA Play-In Tournament. And remember, this is gonna be a mess. So, buckle up.
The games all went down from April 15 to 18. Pretty sure I had a dentist appointment in the middle of it, but basketball is always more interesting, right?
Starting with Friday, April 18. Oh, what a night! The Heat decided to cook up some overtime magic, taking down the Hawks 123 to 114. OT games always get me on edge, like holding onto a lottery ticket or something. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies took a cue from, I don’t know, maybe a bear on a rampage, handling the Mavericks 120 to 106. Both Miami and Memphis snagged the No. 8 seeds — lights out for Atlanta and Dallas. Sucks for them, but someone had to go.
Flashback to Wednesday, April 16. The Heat were at it again, cruising past the Bulls with a cool 109 to 90 win. It’s like trying to peel an orange without getting squirted in the eye — keeping it clean. And the Mavericks weren’t too shabby either against the Kings, putting up 120 against Sacramento’s 106. Chicago and Sacramento can start their vacation plans, ’cause they’re outta here.
Time travel to Tuesday, April 15 — Magic versus Hawks. Yeah, I’m seeing sparks fly. Orlando zipped past the Hawks 120 to 90. Maybe they had some pixie dust, who knows? Then the Warriors decided to do their thing against the Grizzlies, wrapping it up at 121 to 116. Close, but no cigar for Memphis that night. So, Orlando and Golden State are sittin’ pretty with the No. 7 seeds.
I got lost in some kind of highlight reel daydream there. But anyway, that’s how the dice rolled in the 2025 NBA Play-In Tournament. Stay tuned for more. Or not. It’s your call.
