Scouting Analysis for Florida’s OT Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson: 2025 NFL Draft
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Okay, so picture this: we’re diving deep into the land of college football hopefuls. You know, those guys gearing up for the big leagues—the NFL. Up next in our little scouting adventure is Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson from Florida. A lot can change between now and the 2025 Draft, but let’s see what this fella brings to the table. I’m talking potential top 10 material here or maybe he slides to Day 3. The universe will decide.

65 BRANDON CRENSHAW-DICKSON, FLORIDA OL – 6072 (Tall guy alert), 316 POUNDS

Measurements and Stuff

Player Ht/Wt Hand Size Arm Length Wingspan
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson 6072/316 10 1/2 34 83 1/2

Ah, the physical stats. Kind of like the vital signs in a medical chart but for football nerds. This kinda stuff only showcases the surface. Let’s dive into what actually goes on when the game is on.

THE GOOD STUFF

  • Flexible Freddy: This guy’s versatile on the line—imagine taking 1,878 snaps at right tackle and 1,213 snaps at the left. That’s like switching between a cheeseburger and a veggie burger without breaking a sweat.
  • Big-Boned: Tall and heavy. Good for falling on players if nothing else. In case height and weight interest you, they rank really high and just a smidge lower in that order.
  • Screen Game Hero: Can knock people off like it’s a Mario Kart race. And yeah, he hustles upfield in combo blocks too.
  • Gets a Good Jump: Initial pop in the run game? Check. He’s also your guy for special teams—nice bonus, eh?
  • Pass-off Maestro: Those teammate pass-offs are smoother than butter.

THE NOT-SO-GOOD BITS

  • Penalty Magnet: Dude’s got some issues with flags, like a moth to a flame. We’re talking 22 penalties over three years, half of which happened in just 2022.
  • RA-What?: Relative Athletic Score in the 25th percentile—like, ouch. Not winning any track medals, let’s say that.
  • Shrine Bowl Woes: Had a tough time there. Guess when people are hyped up on Mountain Dew or whatever they drink there, it shows.
  • Geriatric Rookie: Well, okay, 24 isn’t ancient, but it’s older in football rookie years.
  • Funky Lower Body: Sometimes his legs do the Macarena while his upper body’s trying to salsa. Not ideal.
  • Bad Leverage: Plays high, loses leverage. It’s like trying to push a car uphill. With no gas.

Quick Bio—Speed Round!

  • Born: Feb 22, 2001
  • Snaps: Right tackle (1,878), Left tackle (1,213), Special teams (229)
  • No Boo-Boos: At least none reported. (knocks on wood)
  • Background: Three-star HS recruit, from Harbor City, CA
  • Community Guy: Building houses, helping kids, the whole shebang.

Tape Talk (Because, Of Course)

Ever wondered if you could spot someone’s bad athletic metrics just from watching? Well, I did. Despite lousy test scores, Brandon wasn’t all bad on tape.

  • Exhibit A: A slashing swat to Princely Umanmielen gets him chugging downfield. End result? Touchdown. He even celebrated with the grace of a golden retriever. Wholesome.
  • Exhibit B: Leaves his chest wide open—gets bull-rushed. Guard bails him out. It raises concerns: can he hold up on his own?

Then there were moments against biggies like J.J. Pegues. You’d think Pegues spell-cast a "stay put" charm or something. Brandon got comfy, then boom—Pegues waltzes past him. Less suave, more uh-oh.

Shrine Bowl—A Bit of a Disaster

Confession time: I was curious. But the Shrine Bowl was like watching someone step on Lego repeatedly. He lost ground to power, finesse—take your pick. SMU’s Roberts laid the smackdown with sheer brute force. And don’t get me started on BYU’s Tyler Batty. That was speed busting through the metaphorical wall.

Wrap-Up… or Not Really

Brandon’s move from San Diego State to Florida was impressive though. He could be a solid swing tackle, but needs to cut down on penalties, like a guitar hero on a string budget. Played right tackle for most of 2024 too, which is interesting.

Before you dash off, let’s take a moment—Dan Skipper. Answering: Who’s that? Both had shaky drills, flagged down for penalties, but hey, they stuck around. So maybe, just maybe, Crenshaw-Dickson’s journey might echo Skipper’s path. Is it shiny? Not always, but worth a watch. I predict a late Day 3 pick—maybe. Quick question: Who doesn’t love an underdog story?
