She basically breezed through her match at the Porsche Grand Prix. 6-1, 6-1 against Magdalena Frech. I mean, that’s almost like Frech was invisible. And this all happened on a Thursday, but what even are days anymore?

Paolini got past Jule Niemeier – and just between you and me, saying “Niemeier” in your head is kinda fun. It’s like an unexpected twist at the end, you know? Like a nice plot twist but minus the drama.

Speaking of drama, you won’t believe it but Aryna Sabalenka, who’s sitting pretty at No. 1, got herself a free pass. Anastasia Potapova couldn’t play due to an injury—honestly hope she’s okay. Injuries suck. So, Sabalenka’s gearing up to play Elise Mertens. I could say something smart about that matchup except… nothing really comes to mind.

It’s weird to think all this is happening under a roof on clay. Indoor clay. Like, is there even such a thing in nature?
